A defining period of global competition for increasingly scarce resources is fast emerging, particularly at the intersection of water, food, and energy. Circle of Blue, based in Traverse City, is the world’s leading news and science organization reporting this increasingly intense competition, from the coal mines of Inner Mongolia to California’s Drought to the shores of Lake Erie where toxic algae blooms shutdown Toledo’s water supply last summer.
