SUMMARY:G.T. Humanists Meeting: The Search for Anna and Levi
DESCRIPTION:Join the Grand Traverse Humanists for a screening of the new short documentary film “The Search for Anna and Levi.” The film explores the lost legacy of black homesteading families in Leelanau County in the late 1800s through the reconnection of the descendants of both the black and white families that shared a common history. Grand Traverse Humanist member Isiah Smith is in the film and serves as the narrator. The director of the film\, Dr. Joe VanderMeulen\, will also be at our meeting for the discussion. This special screening is a preview of the official premiere\, which will be held by the Leelanau Historical Society on May 31.
