DESCRIPTION:Join the Grand Traverse Humanists as they welcome Scott Morey\, Assistant Director of Technology for the Traverse Area District Library\, with a talk called “AI For You and I.”\n\nArtificial Intelligence seems poised to be the next revolutionary technology advancement and is already used by millions. However\, the technology also has drawn criticism from many\, and some even consider it an existential threat to our way of life. In this presentation you will be provided with an overview of the science behind AI and examples of how AI can be used by individuals and businesses. Scott will also explore the ethical concerns of technology and delve into the latest AI news\, including the implications of the Chinese-created chatbot DeepSeek.\n\nPlease note this meeting is being held in place of the previously scheduled presentation by League of Women Voters Grand Traverse Area Chapter President Christine Schlitt on election integrity. We plan to reschedule that meeting for a later date.

In the orderly\, evidence-based manner with which Don approaches all things\, he designs the Wife Project to find his perfect partner: a sixteen-page\, scientifically valid survey to filter out the drinkers\, the smokers\, the late arrivers.\nRosie Jarman possesses all these qualities.
