SUMMARY:G.T. Humanists Paddle Trip: Upper Boardman River
DESCRIPTION:Join the Grand Traverse Humanists and experienced river guide Linnaea for a paddle trip down the upper Boardman/Ottaway River.\n\nWe’ll meet at Forks State Forest Campground (8585-8627 Brown Bridge Rd.\, just off of Supply Rd.)\, set up a shuttle\, then paddle down the river to Brown Bridge landing. This is a trip of about 9.5 miles and is appropriate for adventurous beginners. It runs through lovely forested areas and ends up in the Brown Bridge area\, which was formerly a dammed pond and has now been restored to river.\n\nBring your boat\, paddle\, extra clothes in a dry bag\, snacks and water. We will probably stop for a break at Scheck’s equestrian campground. If people are interested\, we may go to Peegeo’s for dinner/drinks afterward.\n\nRSVP to Linnaea by emailing lmelcarek@gmail.com.
