DESCRIPTION:Join us for a presentation by William Rapai\, author of  Lake Invaders: Invasive Species and the Battle for the Future of the Great Lakes. There are over 180 exotic species in the Great Lakes\, and most are innocuous…but a handful of them are conducting an all-out assault on the Great Lakes and winning the battle (sea lamprey\, alewife\, round goby\, quagga mussel\, zebra mussel\, Eurasian watermilfoil\, spiny water flea\, and rusty crayfish). Mr. Rapai sounds a call to action and makes a strong case for what is at stake; examining the environmental\, economical\, and politic issues at stake in a balanced\, lively\, and accessible way.
