DESCRIPTION:The August meeting of the Grand Traverse Humanists will feature speaker Julie Berger with a talk titled “Genetic disease: Advances\, Treatments and Ethical Considerations.” \nJulie Berger graduated with a masters degree in genetic counseling from the University of Michigan. She worked as a genetic counselor in the Reproductive Genetics Program at Corewell Health for 23 years and in Pediatric Neurology at Corewell for 7 years. She has been active in training medical students\, residents\, and genetic counseling students.
